New Inspiration

It's quiet in my house this morning. I woke up before the rest of the family and thought I would look through some of my photos for inspiration on my next series of paintings. These photos were from a few years ago when we lived in Illinois and had come back to Washington for a visit. We went to Eastern Washington to visit family and had so much fun one evening driving through the wheat fields taking pictures of old barns and the beautiful landscape. I have loved these photos because the landscape is so very different from Western Washington. We were there right before the wheat harvest and the fields were so beautiful. Time to paint!

Have a great weekend :)

  1. These are beautiful Meagan! They remind me of Sara Plain and Tall, which was a pretty influential part of my life, age 10 ;) I'd love to be somewhere like this to just be alone with my thoughts and my sketchbook. I can't wait to see what art comes of these!

  2. hi meagan, just found your blog from attic 24 and noted your confusion about lack of comments. i too was thinking that but there are an awful lot of blogs out there and i'm now treating it more like a diary and if people want to come in they're more than welcome. i love you pictures and will visit again. best wishes.
